Terms & Conditions

Hassocks Golf Club has a reputation as being one of the friendliest and most accommodating clubs in the area. To encourage everyone to enjoy their day to the fullest extent, we do have to maintain the highest possible standards on and off the course. With this in mind, we would like to draw your attention to the following rules and regulations.

Dress Code

Smart Casual dress is acceptable on the course or in the clubhouse. The following are unacceptable:

Denim Jeans, Trainers, Collarless T-Shirts, Sports Shorts, Tracksuits, Football Shirts

Golfers wearing any of the above will not be allowed access onto the golf course or into the bar/restaurant. Jackets and ties are preferred in the restaurant for evening dinners.

Slow Play

Rounds of over four hours are unacceptable. Players taking more than 2 1/4 hours to play nine holes may be asked to leave the course by the marshal. To keep play moving a stableford format is suggested.

Care for the Course

To help maintain the course in the best possible condition, all golfers are asked to replace or repair divot marks, repair pitchmarks on greens and rake bunkers fully. Anyone seen to disregard the above will be reprimanded by the marshal and may be asked to leave the course.

Consideration for others

The use of bad language, anti-social behaviour or wilful damage to the course or clubhouse will not be tolerated. The Society Orgainiser in accepting these terms and conditions assumes reponsibility for the consequences of any such action by a member of his party.

Trolley Bans

The club reserves the right to enforce a complete trolley ban in the event of persistently wet weather. Society Members should make a provision for these circumstances.
